Hon John Dafa’an, the Member of the House of Representatives for Qua’an-Pan/Shendam/Mikang Constituency of Plateau State has commended his constituents for responding to his clarion appeal against their participation in the ongoing hunger protest.
Hon Dafa’an while appreciating his constituents for their actions and support, reemphasize his position to them that there are many ways for their voices to be heard in the presentation of their grievances without recourse to embarking on street protest, which he said, has the capacity to be hijacked by miscreants and make it violent.
The member further appreciated them for recognizing his grassroots interventions across the Constituency through the provision of unrivaled assistance to many of their communities, during a courtesy visit by the, Stakeholders of the Federal Constituency, led by three former Executive Chairmen.
Expressing their confidence in Hon Dafaan’s achievements, the Stakeholders expressed appreciation to Hon John Manwul Dafaan for touching the lives of many of his constituents through his grassroots interventions in many of the communities of Constituency.
The stakeholders in a statement signed by the three former elected chairmen of Qua’an-Pan, Shendam and Mikang Local Government Councils; Hon Daniel Daniang, Hon Basil Piapkum and Hon Yakubu Dati, respectively, applauded the member and expressed their unflinching supports to the numerous achievements of President Tinubu within his first year in office.
The three former Executive Chairmen identified several key accomplishments of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, including:
- The implementation of a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers
- The granting of autonomy to local governments to promote grassroots development; among others.
- The introduction of a new electricity bill to improve power supply
The Stakeholders emphasized the significance of these achievements and their positive impacts on the lives of Nigerians and urged citizens to remain calm and patient, and to keep trusting in President Tinubu’s vision for a better Nigeria.
They equally appealed to organizers of ongoing protest to call off their actions, in order to avoid further loss of lives, destructions of property and looting of hard earned property by miscreants, as being witnessed across the country.
