PLATEAU SPEAKER CONDOLE LATE AKAWU FAMILY.

Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt Hon Yakubu Yackson Sanda, has described the death of Hon Mathew David Akawu, the PDP flag bearer for Pengana Constituency in forthcoming general election, as huge loss to the family and entire Pengana nation.

The Speaker stated this in a press signed by press secretary to the speaker sabastine Hommuk

while on a condolence visit to the family residence of late Hon Mathew Akawu, in Jengre, Bassa Local Government Area.

The Speaker noted that, he received the news of the demise of Hon Mathew, with shock and pains, recalling with nostalgia, their dreams in uniting and bringing economic and human capital development to the People of Pengana, in an event anyone of them wins the House of Assembly seat.

He noted that, indeed the Amo nation and Pengana Constituency have loss a fine gentleman and a promising personality whose love for his family and his people will speak volume for what he stands for.

The Speaker while admonishing the family, the Amo nation, friends and associates of the deceased, urged they accept the loss as the will of God,saying God will comfort them in his special way.

Chairman Bassa Local Government Area. Eng. Stephen Igmala, while commiserating with the Akawu family, on behalf of the Council, pray for God’s comfort to the family.

He noted that what the family needs now, most especially the Wife and the children is prayers and support at this moment of their grief.

Responding on behalf of the family. Mr David Chartier, while appreciating the Speaker and his entourage for the visit, described the late Hon Mathew Akawu, as a humble, cheerful and promising youth with a large heart.

He stated that, late Hon Mathew Akawu’s wealth of advice and his love for humanity will be greatly missed by all and calls for continuous support and prayer for the immediate family.

The Speaker was accompanied on the visit by the Council Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, his Deputy Hon Joshua Ishaku and Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development Hon. Peter Akuja among other Aides of the speaker.
