The Catholic Women Organization Nigeria, CWON, Catholic Archdiocese of Jos yesterday played host to the Plateau State gubernatorial standard bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, BCM, and his running mate Ngo Josephine Piyo, on the occasion of the “2022 Seminar and Food Fair”.
Held at the St. Louis School Hall in Jos, Plateau State, the catholic women converged in great numbers to make the annual event colorful.
Mrs Evelyn Dantak CWON President welcomed guests and thanked the governorship candidate and his running mate for honoring their invitation and attending in person.
Delivering his goodwill message, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang appreciated the women for the invitation and assiured them of his commitment to working with women and providing them with the environment to thrive.
“We are here to celebrate motherhood. We have come to celebrate the hardworking, faithful, loyal, and dedicated women of Plateau. We thank God for all of you. It is because of our women particularly on the Plateau, that we know our children are doing well, and are going to school. It is because of our women that several families are not going hungry, because you are hardworking, and I know you are committed to your families.
“By the grace of God, know it that we have it at the back of our minds, and we believe very much, that women must be carried along. And we will do all that lies in our power to ensure that our women are given full representation; our women are given a voice; and our women are given opportunities. We will create the enabling environment for our women to thrive, and to be a blessing to us”.
The gubernatorial flag bearer then made a token donation on behalf of his team at the occasion to support the women.
Barr. Caleb Mutfwang and his team thereafter attended the wedding solemnization of Gloria Putret Kyentu and Samson Adekunle Ishalaye, at Eliel Center Gold and Base Jos. Gloria is the daughter of Justice Julia Kyentu (Rtd).
