TROOPS WELFARE: MAJOR GENERAL IS ALI INAUGURATES LANDMARK PROJECTS……Says it is a command responsibility

The Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Ibrahim Ali has inaugurated landmark projects in Headquarters Operation SAFE HAVEN to improve the welfare and operational effectiveness of troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN.

Delivering his welcome address during the ceremony, the Officer Commanding Defence Company OPSH, Captain Musa Aruwan said the projects would provide a conducive working environment for troops to carry out their responsibility effectively. He maintained that the troops would forever remain grateful to the commander for giving them befitting accommodation and potable water.

In his remarks, the Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Ibrahim Ali charged Commanders at all levels to take the welfare needs of their troops very seriously adding that improved welfare leads to effective result.

Genral Ali also noted that it is a command responsibility to improve the standard of living of troops making huge sacrifice and dedicated to the service of their fatherland.

The commander further stressed that the projects would boost the morale of troops and strengthen their commitment to the fight against insecurity in the joint operation area.

Appreciating the commander on behalf of the troops, the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) OPSH, Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Azi Yusuf lauded the giant stride of the commander and his resolve to continually improve the welfare of troops.

Highlight of the event was the cutting of tape to commission the remodelled office of the Regimental Sergent Major, newly built 2 blocks of troops accommodation as well as the newly constructed borehole among others.
