On the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Yakubu Yackson Sanda urge Christians to imbibe the lessons of Sacrifice, Love and Peace that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ Signify.
The Speaker stated this in his Easter message, in which he Charged Nigerians to act in Faith towards God and fellow Citizens and be Confident that the nation will overcome its Current Challenges.
In his words, He said “I Celebrate with Christians on the Plateau, Nigeria and others across the World on this year’s Easter. This should be a moment of Sober reflection on the many lessons of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Easter teaches us hope, forgiveness, faith and love. With this therefore, let us, act in this virtue, love our neighbors and be tolerant of one another.”
The Speaker noted that he is positive that one day Nigeria will overcome the present Challenges of insecurity, killings and destruction of lives and properties, just as Jesus Christ overcame death on the cross of Calvary to free Mankind.
Rt Hon. Sanda, while calling for Continuous support and prayers to enable leaders at all levels successed on their mandates, stressed the need for Citizens to be Security Conscious at all times and report any suspecious movement or persons to the relevant Security agencies.
